  Disaster response
Humanitarian response
Fellowship has taken lead in the district in reaching out to the vulnerable and affected community at the time of natural disaster like flood, cyclone and fire. Distribution of temporary shelter materials, dry food, hygiene and sanitary materials during gisaster, house building assistane, seeds and fertilizers, cash for work for restoration of infrastructure in the recovery phases after disaster and public health awareness education after disaster are some of the intervention strategies of the organization. After super cuclone in 1999 and flood in 2002 ans 2007, the organization has taken up massiove relief and rehabilitation oprogramm in the district.
Livelihood restoration
  •  Created 30000 person-days for 1000 households in three GPs through cash for works in the target area. Minimum wage was Rs 80/- a day. Priority was given to women headed families, excluded communities and physically challenged. The projects were identified by the village committees in consultation with PRIs. All projects are related to preparedness.
  • NREGA training for PRI representatives was organized for proper implementation of the scheme.
  • Training on food basket analysis was organized involving the stakeholders.
Public Health:
  •  Tube well platforms, bath cubicles constructed.
  • First-aid training was given to volunteers.
  • Awareness on public health was organized in target area called PHP campaign through meetings, wall painting and school programs.
  • Training to volunteers on tube well repairing, water chlorination, preparation of contingency plan was given.
